Longest day of the year

Today felt like the longest day of the year so far for me. It seemed like time just went backwards. No reason at all really. I think it was just that I was ready for this week to be over and so were my kids and we were just going through the motions, hoping that the day would end soon.

I was telling my co-workers how my Granny thinks I have a secret boyfriend that I'm not telling her about, so now they have all decided that they are going to find me a man. This was part of our topic of conversation at lunch. What is hilarious to me is that after we were talking about it, we had our break time and I was walking through the library to make some copies and I saw one of the nicest looking guys I've ever seen. I mean he was nice to look at and just seemed to be a really nice person. We smiled at each other and said hi and as I was walking past him one of the teachers on my team saw this exchange and started making motions like trying to nudge me toward him as a potential date. I just died laughing. Later in the day she said that she knows the guy and his mom and could set me up. So, I told her to go for it. It's so funny.

When I got home I wound up getting my dogs and we went for a drive to get some dinner. Sophie likes to ride on my lap and put her paws on the steering wheel and "drive." It's so cute. I grabbed my camera phone to take the picture, which is why it is so grainy looking, but I love it.
