Sunday, June 22. This is the little dog plant holder thingy I told you I got at Three Dog Bakery. It was just too cute to pass up. It very much reminded me of Sydni when I saw it. Keri came down and spent the day with us. Almost everyone was at Granny's too. We had some good ol' soul food and it was yummy! I love seeing my family and spending time with them.
Monday, June 23. I was very happy and surprised to see that my Gerber Daisies have started to come back and rebloom and look very nice. The barrels are both looking a lot better than I thought they would earlier this year They are really growing and filling up. I'm excited. Of course, we have to water them since it hasn't been raining much but they still look purty!Tuesday, June 24. Today is Keri's 24th birthday. Her Golden Birthday. 24 on the 24th. I decided to be nice and bring the dogs with me so my dad didn't have to keep them again. Give him a little break. Sophie decided she liked laying on top of my duffel bag and pillow.Sydni likes riding with her head right beside mine while pushing my seatbelt down into practically a choke hold on me. She also likes to give me little kisses every now and then and lay her head on my shoulder. Those sweet moment make having a dog so worth it.Happy Birthday Keri! She wanted to lay by the pool at my mom's apartment, so we did. I got to wear my super cute new bathing suit. If you look closely you can see my red chest and the line on my neck. It's a lovely little burn in the places that had not previously been exposed to sunlight, but it is turning into a wonderful tan. It was a very fun day!
Wednesday, June 25th. When I got up, I rounded up the dogs and we headed back home. I'm a little worn out from the travelling. This year we spread a mix of pink flower seeds in the "wishing well" flower garden we made in the front yard. For the longest time, the shoots of the flowers have been growing and pretty much looking like a flowerbed of weeds, but they are slowly starting to bloom in an array of pinks, purples, and whites. They are all very different and all very pretty. This is one of the ones I really like. It is probably 3 feet tall with this one flower at the top.Thursday, June 26. A couple of years one of my aunts gave us these flowers. We planted them in a little spot that we didn't think would make it but every year they grow. They always get so tall that when the flowers finally come out on them they break and fall over. One of the shoots is starting to make some flowers and when I came out today I saw that it was already falling over. My dad made this little contraption so the shoots can lay against it and actually bloom. I went to school today to work on getting some stuff laminated and put up. But I mostly wound up talking to people that were there. So I didn't really get anything done but I did trade some ideas with another teacher for the beginning of the year stuff and maybe later into the year.Friday, June 27. I ran up to school today to clear some stuff off of the desks because I was told that next week they are going to come do the floors. I wanted to make sure that nothing would get thrown away or taken by "accident" when things start getting moved. After that I ran some errands in Dickson. I went to the Dollar Store and hit the mother load in some awesome stuff for school. I'm excited. I don't need my own kids when I can just spend all my money on my school kids. Then I went and got my hair trimmed. Now I didn't ever come home and fix it which is why I don't have a pic up, but I did have the most enjoyable experience ever at the hair salon. I walked in to the place on the recommendation of a co-worker who goes to one of the girls there. Anyways, I was patiently waiting my turn when this man approaches me and asks if I am waiting to be helped and I said that I was. He asked what I was wanting to do and I told him I was wanting a trim or maybe a different style, I wasn't completely sure. Then, in his most outlandishly feminine voice, he says "Well, come on back honey and we'll fix ya up!" OMG! I was so excited. He was such a card. He had me laughing the whole time. He was all excited to be cutting my hair and he told me he had all kinds of ideas for me. I said do whatever cause my hair grows. He was wonderful! I wish you could have seen him cutting my hair. He was like a hair stylist from a movie. He would look at my hair inquisitively, comb it, flip his wrist to get his scissors in his hand and then quickly snip. It was great! I've never been too sure about a man cutting my hair but he was great. A lot less b****y than a woman hairdresser. I will definitely go back to him (in 6-8 weeks). He has Big Plans for my hair, so I'm interested to see what my hair winds up looking like.

Hey! I hit the mother load at the Dollar Tree as well! I was literally digging through the big bins with the charts! Great stuff! And - I have to know what hair salon you went to! Talk to you soon! Me, you, and Nikki should do lunch this week since we're all in Dickson and out for summer break!
