Sunday, August 24. There are a lot of these things all over the place with sack with worms growin in them. I liked the light coming through this. Different. Monday, August 25. Sophie loves my dad. She always follows him wherever he goes and snuggles up to him. She thinks she is human and lays like he does.
Tuesday, August 26. Sydni likes to dig holes and lay in them. I thought this was cute.

Pretty leaves on the gravel in the drive-way.
These are honeybees that have built a hive in one of the trees in the front yard. While we were walking around, I heard the buzz buzz buzzing of the bees and found them on this plant. I zoomed in pretty close from a distance cause I have no desire to recreate "My Girl." Neat.

Ok. So I have been horrible posting pics. The past month has been crazy getting back into the swing of things. I've been taking pictures but not even downloading them on my computer. SOOOO. I don't remember what days I took all of the pics, so I'll just put a little comment about them. There may have been a couple of days that I didn't even take a picture. And if I did it was of my students and I will not post those ever. So, enjoy. I'll try to do better. Thanks! Much Love!< My babies

It was gorgeous in the morning, with the sun shining on the ax before all the wood was split into smaller pieces.
Neat Tree.

My Indian corn that decided wanted to look pretty on the outside, but then didn't do a dang thing on the inside.
We've been cutting a bunch of trees down that are dead to use for firewood this winter.

My dad found this little bird laying in the drive-way. It looks dead but it really wasn't. He was just trying to learn how to fly. We put it in a bird box we have at the house and the next day all of the baby birds (including this little fella) had flown away.
This is for Julie. This is my dad's dog, Radar, and she loves to sleep like this. I'm trying to teach her that when I say "Bang!" she falls down like this. Trying new things
Isn't this the coolest butterfly you've ever seen.

The past two weeks

Sunday, July 20. We made the long trip back from Colorado. I was exhausted. This was my mail waiting on me when I got back.Monday, July 21. We started inservice today. We heard the most inspirational speaker ever. These are some of my flowers in my wishing well garden. I love the lighting on them.Tuesday, July 22. The indian corn we planted in our garden growing nicely. More inservice today. I wanted to poke my eye out it was so boring.Wednesday, July 23. The lovely bloom on a bush that has never bloomed well before this year. I like the lighting on this one too. More inservice. It was actually really good. Helped me plan my new rules.
Thursday, July 24. More inservice! More eye poking out. I like this pic I took. That glove has been there all summer.Friday, July 25. My mom came down to help me get my room ready. There was a flock of birds that apparently live right outside my back door. They were all working together to feed these babies. They look creepy so I just watch from the window now.Saturday, July 26. I went to school and worked some more today. These are my flowers growing strong. When I got back from Colorado I pruned them a bit to get rid of the dead ones and all of a sudden they just really broke out big time!Sunday, July 27. I cleaned my room to get ready for school. Organized, straightened, cleaned. Won't last for long, but at least I started on it.A cute little baby box turtle that I found when I was mowing the back yard. He didn't want to show his face very well.Monday, July 28. Another flower pot that we have planted doing really well. We had our final day of inservice today. I'm about burnt out on inservices.Tuesday, July 29. We didn't have inservice so I had time to work in my room. Half way through the day I ran home to check on the dogs and grab some lunch. Well, while I was grabbing some lunch I saw this guy who had his dog in the trunk of his CAR! I was so upset. I called the police because it was so hot and I just didnt think that was right. I don't know what wound up happening but I can only hope the dog is ok.Wednesday, July 30. So, I was supposed to get the final product of my new tooth for the tooth implant. As my luck would have it, the dentist broke off part of my abuttement (sp?) when he was tightening it. So, now, after a wasted day (not totally cause I got to see my mom and go to the Teacher store) I get to do the whole thing over again and drive back to Nashville to get the little tooth so I can drive back to Dickson to get my crown. Yay!Thursday, July 31. I made these little treats for some of the teachers I work with. Just a little something to get everyone going for school.
During our break for our staff development I got my room ready a little bit more. This is my rules and discipline area. I think it is so cute. Can you tell the theme in my room is all things doggie?Lunch and attendance cabinet.
I thought I was so clever putting up my wish list like this.
Friday, August 1. The first day of school!!!! We had a great day. My kids are soooo cute and well behaved for the first day. I hope they stay that way. This is part of my calendar area. I don't have it complete yet, but for the most part this is one of the things we will be doing in the mornings. I'm so excited for the new year!
