FINALLY, I've updated.

Saturday, May 10. I helped mow my Granny's yard today and when we got finished mowing, I pulled weeds from around some of her bushes and put some mulch around them. Isn't it pretty? Sunday, May 11. HAPPY MOTHER'S DAY! I went to Smyrna and hung out with my mom and sis all day. We went shopping and had a blast, minus the freezing temperatures and crazy wind. This is my mommy and her two "dog"ters. Are they cute? I love, love, love them!
Monday, May 12. I took the day off cause I had to go get the tooth checked and get some shots so I can go to the Victory Junction Gang Camp this summer. I spent the night with Mom so I could just drive to Nashville from there. So here we are, that morning before she went to work and I enjoyed the most gorgeous day off ever.
Monday cont. Since I was off and it was gorgeous, I bought some flowers for the barrells we have around the house. Super exciting. They look good too! Tuesday, May 13. I bought a hydrangea from Lowe's on Monday when I was off and my dad and I planted it in the back yard. This is what it looks like now, but come July it's gonna be gorgeous. They even told me that I can change the colors from blue to pink by adding something into the ground. We had to put a wire net around JUST IN CASE the dogs decide to become moles and dig my new plant up. But they would "never" do anything like that, would they?

Wednesday, May 14. These two pics above are some of my beautiful flowers that I planted. The top is my favorite barrel cause I got some Gerber Daisies and Marigolds. They are super bright, even at night time. The pic above is a tiger lily, aka day lily, that I just had to have. It had one bloom on it when I got it and now there are 5! I think it is so interesting that these stamens just dangle. They reminding me of those dolls whose heads bob when you move them. Super cool.-Thursday, May 15. So today when I was walking around the yard, playing with the dogs, I found this. Pop quiz: Do you know what it is? It's the bud off of a tulip poplar, our state tree. I thought it was really neat and took some pictures of it. Now that I've found that one I have also found hundreds of them laying around everywhere else. They are to the tulip poplar what an acorn is to a mighty oak. Interesting huh? It's the teacher in me.Friday, May 16. I wanted a nice quiet, do whatever I want to for free weekend, so tonight started it. I painted my nail fire engine red, just for the heck of it. My dad always feeds the dogs yogurt. Well, he lets them like the containers when he finishes. This is Sophie with her yogurt gotee that she got from attempting to lick the container clean. She's so cute. She obviously doesn't always like her picture made, but I love her so she did it anyways.Saturday, May 17. I did a whole lotta nothing and I loved it. My dad went and got groceries this morning and when he got home I was cleaning the kitchen cause I was in the mood and if the mood strikes I better get to it. Well, he asked if I wanted to go to Granny's and finish putting mulch out in her flower beds so that was what we did. My dad had a date Saturday night too. Ooooohhhh...I know. I felt like such the loser sitting at home watching Bridget Jones' Diary feeling that I am so much like her it's not even funny. But I had a blast. It was nice to just lay around and do nothing, even though I would love to go on a date, but that's ok. One day, maybe, hopefully.....

Sunday, May 18. We have two weeks left of school. Next weekend, we are going on our annual night fishing trip on the Harpeth River. I'm so excited! My dad and I went and dug worms for the trip and for any other fishing excursions we may go on this summer. We dug well over 500 worms. If you haven't ever been, you totally should. It's so fun to put that dirt back and see the boo coos of worms come crawling from everywhere and then trying to grab them before they hide behind the dirt again. It's great. I got so dirty. My pants were covered in mud from being on the ground digging. But it is soooo fun! I can't wait to go fishing!

Monday, May 5. Happy Cinco de Mayo! So It was a gorgeous day, and I had to spend some time in my hammock. I love it by the way, in case I haven't mentioned that before now. It was a nice, relaxing afternoon. This is the view from my hammock.
Tuesday, May 6. Another great day to lay in the hammock. Today while I was laying there, my friend Heidi called me so I would up sitting on a different side and this was the sight I had while I talked to her for a while. I love being outside. yay!

Wednesday, May 7. We had a field trip at the zoo today! It was so much fun. I definitely think I'm going to get a membership. I just loved it! And it's so amazing to see things like that through a child's eyes. My kids were super great, which made me very proud. I tell you what though, walking through the zoo is tiring, but doing it with my most energetic little ones is super exhausting. I chose my pic of the elephant cause they are my favorites!

Thursday, May 8. Sophie has become super attached to my dad. I mean, she has to be within his sight or she freaks out. Every night she hops up in the swing with him and snuggles up to him and sleeps for hours. And whether my dad admits it or not, I know he LOVES it that she admires him so much. So cute!

I didn't take a picture on Friday, May 9 because I was in such a bad mood. My kids were horrible and everything just annoyed me. If I had taken a picture it would have been of me making a scowly face.

Saturday, May 10. What a busy day. I got up early, got groceries, then when I got home, we went and mowed my Granny's yard. THEN I came home took a quick shower and went to one of my kid's piano recitals. THEN I came home and started working on my mom's Mother's Day present (the pic) and then we went to Daniel's race came home, I finished the page and went to bed. Geez! I did a lot.

This is from Saturday, April 26. We went out to dinner for Julie's birthday and I met this nice young fella, Stephen. After knowing each other for 5 minutes we were married and lived happily ever after. Ok, until he left about 30 minutes later, but it was a wonderful whirlwind romance.

Sunday, April 27th. I got home from my weekend away and my dad had picked some wildflowers to put in my watering can that I bought specifically to be used as a vase. I love it! I'll have to get married in the spring so that I can have a bouquet of wildflowers as my bridal bouquet. So cute!

Sunday, April 27. We went to Granny's for lunch. Keri and Danile came down and Daddy and Daniel were rearranging some logs that my dad is going to get cut up. I was out in the field petting the cows and loving on them when the worst thing in the world could have happened. I was backing up to get out of the way of a cow that is known to push other cows and people around, when I felt the squish. Oh yes, I stepped in a pile of poo. Now, like an idiot I wasn't wearing my usual boots or tennis shoes in the field. NOOOO, I was wearing my flip flops. I don't even want to talk about how I almost threw up. Luckily, it was just on the edge, but it was just enough to make me want to cut my foot off. Ick! Monday, April 28. I had to make a scrapbook page of my class for a scrapbook we made as a school for these people who came to check us out and give us our accreditation. Fun times. It definitely makes me wish I had more time to scrapbook. Which reminds me, I have a scrapbook I need to get finished!

Tuesday, April 29. I had on a different outfit than this t-shirt all day. We had to dress up for these people who came to check out our school. Anyways, it was very interesting because I saw Mr. You-know-who when he was picking up his kids. I was running into the office to get a snack before my break was over and he was there. He said hi to me and I said hi to him, then he came over and gave me a great big hug while telling me that I looked very "sweet today." Ok, he nevers comes by to say hi anymore but then I get that? Men are so freaking confusing. So, this is my "sweet" face. We had a nice 5 minute conversation and that was that.
Wednesday & Thursday, April 30 and May 1. I don't remember doing anything extraordinary. This has been a common pic at the house of " Englands. That is my dad's dog chilling in the swing asleep. Sophie LOVES to lay with him on the swing.
Friday, May 2. So I challenged my kids that if they ran at least 400 laps at our Fun Run, then I would dress up like Junie B. Jones, which is a book characters. So here I am, in all my glory. You wanna talk about getting some looks on Friday, I got them. It was fun though. What's sad is that I owned everything except the shirt prior to creating this look.
Saturday, May 3. Today was a super busy day. I went to Julie's nephew's birthday party. It was so fun. I have never been to a birthday party for a kid as an adult where there were actually kids there other than the birthday child. It was interesting to see the little ones playing. After the birthday party, we went over to Andrea's house to get ready for April's bachelorette party. Julie and I had made April a fiesta hat fit for a bride because she loves Mexican food so much. We were proud! We had yummy mocktails and finger foods, played a game, opened the "gifts" and just talked. It was so fun. I love just hanging out with the girls, catching up, reminiscing about old times and talking about what could happen in the future. Plus, they love American Idol so I get to talk about David Cook. Yum!
Sunday, May 4. To go with my weekend o' parties. We went to another child's birthday party, my 2nd cousin Maggie Moo. She recently became the older stepsister to the two girls in this picture. They had fun playing outside, jumping on the trampoline, blowing bubbles, and throughing a hoverround disc. Quite entertaining. I love kids. It almost makes me want to have one someday. ALMOST!
